TAKE A WALK ON THE HISTORIC SIDE.
Greenbank Mill Associates, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Greenbank Mill National Historic District and expanding public knowledge of Red Clay Valley industrial, agricultural and social history through educational programming, recreational rental facilities, and community partnerships.
RENT OUR HALL
Our historic Gristmill hall accommodates 80 people and provides a unique and pleasant setting for seminars, business meetings, birthday and retirement celebrations, baby and bridal showers, weddings and receptions and other events.
Be part of our barn restoration project! Our barn reflects the seasonal changes of an early 19th century barn and currently houses Merino and Leicester Longwool sheep. Accompanied by a Miller's house, the barn is a wonderfully interactive museum space.
TOUR OUR MILL
See our water system and a re-creation of the milling process that revolutionized the milling industry by Oliver Evans. Learn the integral part that this Delaware mill played in the history of the industrial revolution, a major turning point in our nation's economic progress.
HELP US PRESERVE RED CLAY VALLEY HISTORY.
The key to Greenbank Mill Associates’ success during the last 20 years has been its volunteers. They stepped forward and preserved the mill, raised money, and even helped do restoration work. As Greenbank grew, so did the role of volunteers in areas such as publicity, archaeology, grounds and building maintenance, livestock, and many others. Greenbank has continued to grow and so have our volunteer needs. Click below to learn more about our volunteer opportunities, how to become a member, or how to donate to Greenbank Mill Associates.
