Timeless Trades: Fiberways 101

Join us for a 3-part Timeless Trades class: Fiberways 101, taught by the wonderful fiberistas of the FiberGuild. Working with wool has a long and important history, and modernly is quite cathartic and a useful skill.

We will start with breaking down wool fiber, and how it compares to other fibers, as well as the ins and outs of washing the wool.

The following week we will get deep into the process of prepping and carding the wool.

And for the following, and final, week of this 3-part class, we invite you to Let your fingers do the walking as our expert instructors teach you a skill that goes back centuries and was once an integral part of the household. We will teach you the basics of spinning fiber using a spinning wheel that will have you transforming roving into beautiful yarn in no time. We will have spinning wheels available for you to use for this class, so no need to even have your own…yet ;)

This Timeless Trade will have multiple ways to participate; guests have the options to either take single classes or the entire course!

Single Class Tickets are $20, while the entire 3-Course class are $40 per person. Classes to take place every Tuesday from January 24th to February 7th, with each course 2-Hour Course taking place from 7-9 PM.
