About The Event
Gather around the bonfire with us, and be transported back in time through stories of local folklore and history by our gifted storytellers. Each community, each state, are threads in the fabric that make up the history and legacy of our great nation; each Friday a different storyteller will illuminate a thread of our past around the bonfire, bringing the past to life with stories of folklore and history.
Discover the lost but exciting history of Delaware's first female aviator! In the 1930s, Katrina Pusey became the chief pilot for the flying delivery service of the Phillips Packing Company of Cambridge, Maryland and flew as a member of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II. Her story includes so much more so you'll just have to listen in to find out!
Event Schedule:
6:30 pm - Come hang out with us before the event begins, learn how to make specialty themed beverages and enjoy casual conversation.
7:00 pm - The folklore begins!
7:45pm - Enjoy a Q&A with our storyteller.
Admission to this program is free but we ask that you consider donating here.
Instead of providing drinks for purchase this year given the virtual format, we will instead be offering special release Folklore Friday themed gear for purchase. Each week we will release a new item, with a special discount on that item for the week.
